THE PRIVILEGED AT HENNESSY V.S.O.P KYRIOS’ NATIONWIDE PARTIES

According to the news earlier, Hennessy V.S.O.P KYRIOS (the 3rd edition of the Hennessy V.S.O.P’s Privilege Collection) is set to arrive in clubs and entertainment outlets this March, with a series of nationwide parties to celebrate its much anticipated nightlife debut. Hence, we (a bunch of bloggers) were invited to the said Hennessy party at ROOM, Autocity Penang at 29 March. It's the "BE AMONG THE PRIVILEGED AT HENNESSY V.S.O.P KYRIOS’ NATIONWIDE PARTIES. "

Indeed, its a Privilege party! When we reach there, our coordinator served us like a BOSS! Haha, as comfortable as we are VIP! The table/seat were pre booked! we are simply amazed by the arrangement and the cozy environment!

So, lets find out the legendary drink of the night! Lets do some homework about the drinks!

The 3rd addition to the Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege Collection. KYRIOS comes after the Helios (2011) and the Nyx (2012), taking on a matte carbon gray mantle and an aura of understated elegance. KYRIOS, or Guardian of the Codes in Greek, signifies the key to the codes of the legendary world of Hennessy V.S.O.P: 

The Grapes 

The grapes are the symbol of the vineyards. They refer to the ancestral savoir-faire, the elaborate craftsmanship, and the extreme care that is conferred to the creation of a high-quality product.

The “Bras Armé”

The emblematic “bras armé” reflects the long history of Hennessy. It has been part of the Hennessy seal for more than 2 centuries. Now engraved in the glass, it emphasizes the constant search of quality. The “bras armé” carries the grandeur of the House of Hennessy and represents the nobility of the cognac.

“1817”

1817 is the date when the legend of Hennessy V.S.O.P began. On October 7th, 1817, the future King George IV of England asked the House of Hennessy to supply him with a special cognac. A blending that is described in the records with the words “Very Superior Old Pale”. This pale-coloured cognac, was the kind preferred at the time by the English, who were known for their appreciation of high-quality eaux-de-vie that age well while keeping a light robe. The prince’s request was precise. This cognac was supposed to be developed with a finely balanced structure. But for James Hennessy, who received the order, nothing was impossible.

The Copper Colour

The Copper Colour brings elegance and style to the carafe, while its accentuating lines glow in molten copper under black light. The copper colour is a reminder of the pot stills, as this deep tint evokes centuries of distillation.

The New Silhouette

Today’s new silhouette, a reinterpretation of the original iconic V.S.O.P bottle from 1954, flaunts a carefully designed optical effect. The front of the carafe evokes a pyramid perspective, discrete but structured, suggesting an upward vanishing point as if a vertical thrust is about to raise it toward the heavens.

Hennessy V.S.O.P KYRIOS Parties – The Acts

B.A.T.E. (Brain and the Eye)

B.A.T.E., made up of local duo Wai Hong and Ethan Curzon, are two fast rising nu-breeds who are set to be the next big DJ duo in the local scene. Despite being relatively new, B.A.T.E. are no strangers to Kuala Lumpur party goers. The duo is frequently spotted tearing up the decks at various nightspots around the city such as Barsonic at Zouk, Vertigo, LUST, Bakita and Bedroom, as well as events such as 2012’s second H-Artistry party at KWC.

Known for their hand-picked selection of only the finest tunes in Disco, Techno, Big Room and Electro, B.A.T.E. are heavily influenced by EDM juggernauts such as Laidback Luke, Boys Noize and Steve Angello.

DJ Cookie

DJ Cookie is the current resident DJ of Taipei's club LUXY and W Hotel bar (Starwood). She first entered the club scene at age 18 as the stage lighting director of the club 2nd Floor. While working with the world's top DJs there, she quickly developed a keen musical astuteness. She began learning to DJ on the side and then in 2003, marked her officially entry to the music world as a DJ.

She was voted among the Top 10 DJs by Taipei Times and her talent was quickly recognized worldwide with club bookings coming from international party destinations such as Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. She has performed with the likes of Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, and Infected Mushrooms among many others. DJ Cookie is the official spokesperson for Pioneer DJ equipment in Taiwan, and is quickly becoming one of the most respected female DJs in the region.

we had a great fun night. Some of us even drunken. But luckily i'm not the drunken one! Anyway thanks to the event, and Criz for the awesome party invitation!
